MANOLET ALMONDS, S.A.U., a company dedicated to almond processing, has adopted environmental management as its management and work model, committing itself to sustainable development, environmental protection, and the reduction of any negative impact of our work on the environment.

MANOLET ALMONDS, S.A.U. includes environmental considerations and best practices in decisions and processes, from production at reception to the shipment of goods.

Our objectives are to provide products and services that are safe and environmentally friendly throughout their life cycle, carrying out our operations in an environmentally responsible manner, always striving for continuous improvement.

To this end, MANOLET ALMONDS, S.A.U. commits to the following principles:

• Compliance with current environmental legislation, food safety regulations, and any other requirements subscribed by MANOLET ALMONDS, S.A.U.
• Pollution prevention through the recovery, recycling, and reuse of materials, minimizing the consumption of raw materials.
• Efficient use of resources during the development of our activity and waste reduction.
• Elimination or minimization of environmental pollution released into water, soil, and air.
• Conservation and improvement of the environment, reduction of environmental impacts, and minimization of adverse environmental effects.
• Safety and health of employees, visitors, and consumers, as well as training and environmental awareness of employees to ensure they carry out their duties with the utmost respect for the environment.
• Climate change mitigation by identifying, measuring, and progressively reducing greenhouse gas emissions derived from our activities through low-impact processes and the use of technologies that contribute to this reduction.
• Climate change adaptation by evaluating and managing the risks and opportunities associated with its impacts, strengthening the resilience of facilities and operations against extreme weather events.
• Improvement of energy efficiency in all its activities, optimizing production processes, incorporating low-energy consumption technologies, and promoting good practices in responsible energy consumption among employees.
• Promotion of the use of renewable energies in its facilities, reducing dependence on non-renewable sources and contributing to the energy transition and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

MANOLET ALMONDS, S.A.U. integrates this Environmental Policy into its sustainability management system, applying it as a tool for identifying, evaluating, managing, and reducing significant incidents, risks, and opportunities related to climate change mitigation and adaptation.

This policy includes the management of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals, promoting their measurement, progressive reduction, and neutralization, and addressing transition and physical risks associated with climate change in our operations and value chain. It is applied considering short-, medium-, and long-term time horizons.

In addition, it is complemented by our actions in employee environmental training, responsible purchasing, energy efficiency, promotion of renewable energy, development of sustainable products, responsible investments, health, safety, and emergency plans, thus contributing directly and indirectly to our climate change mitigation and adaptation objectives.

The responsibility for its implementation and monitoring lies with Management and those responsible for each area, with the necessary resources for proper implementation, review, and continuous improvement.

The policy will be reviewed annually using internal evaluation tools that allow us to assess the degree of compliance with the proposed objectives.
